Pune Mayor Welcomes Fidel’s Expansion, Creating 1,000+ High-Skilled IT Jobs

In a major milestone for India-Japan technology collaboration, Fidel has announced its strategic expansion in Pune, with plans to create more than 1,000 high-skilled IT jobs over the next five years. The announcement was made on 04th July 2026 during a meeting between a high-level Japanese delegation and Pune Mayor Mrs. Manjusha Nagpure, where discussions centered on strengthening cooperation in technology, innovation, investment, and high-skilled employment.

Recognizing Pune’s thriving technology ecosystem, highly skilled engineering talent, and innovation-driven business environment, Fidel has chosen the city as the destination for its next phase of growth over several other Indian locations. This expansion will accelerate the company’s capabilities in Artificial Intelligence (AI), software development, digital engineering, research and development (R&D), and advanced technology solutions, while creating world-class career opportunities for Indian professionals.

The Japanese delegation included Mr. Renya Kikuchi, President of IM Corporation, and Mr. Takashi Itamiya, Senior Advisor at IM Corporation. They were joined by Mr. Sunil Kulkarni, CEO of Fidel, Ms. Prachi Kulkarni, Managing Director of Fidel, and renowned IT expert Dr. Deepak Shikarpur.

As part of this initiative, Fidel will also create significant opportunities for professionals with Japanese language proficiency, enabling them to work on global technology projects and support Japanese enterprises through digital transformation, AI-driven innovation, and next-generation engineering services.
