Fidel Supports Braille AI Book Launch – CSR Activity
25/11/2025
In an inspiring step towards inclusive digital literacy, Dr. Raghunath Mashelkar, Padma Vibhushan awardee and renowned scientist, unveiled the Braille version of the Artificial Intelligence (AI) book authored by Dr. Deepak Shikarpur. The event, held recently, marked an important milestone in democratizing access to emerging technologies for the visually challenged community. Fidel Softech Limited, funded this noble initiative as part of its ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
Dr. Deepak Shikarpur, author of over 64 books and a lifelong advocate for digital inclusion, has consistently worked towards making technology learning accessible to all. Recognizing the growing importance of artificial intelligence as a key skill for the modern workforce, he observed that visually challenged learners often face significant barriers in accessing such knowledge due to the lack of resources in suitable formats. To bridge this gap, Dr. Shikarpur decided to create a Braille edition of his AI book, ensuring that visually impaired students can learn about and engage with one of the most transformative fields of the 21st century.
Fidel through its CSR program, supported this Braille version. This partnership signifies a shared belief in technology as an equalizer and an instrument for empowerment when made accessible to all segments of society.
Representing Fidel, Prachi Kulkarni — Managing Director of Fidel Softech. By supporting the Braille version of the AI book, Fidel reinforces not only its technology expertise but also its responsibility toward fostering equal learning opportunities for all sections of society.
Fidel has long been known for its focus on AI, language, localization and technology-driven solutions that make digital transformation more inclusive. By supporting the Braille edition of Dr. Shikarpur’s AI book, Fidel reaffirmed its belief that the benefits of technology should reach every individual, regardless of physical or social limitations.
The project also received support from the National Federation of the Blind. Ms. Sakina Bedi, its spokesperson, expressed gratitude for efforts that help make learning resources more inclusive. She highlighted how access to Braille textbooks on advanced subjects like AI can inspire visually challenged students to pursue new career paths and academic opportunities.
Through this collaboration, Fidel, Dr. Shikarpur, and all participating organizations have demonstrated how institutions can come together to ensure that progress in technology goes hand in hand with compassion and inclusivity.
Fidel remains committed to continuing such collaborative efforts that open new doors for learning, innovation, and independence.
