Press Conference – Fidel Softech Limited Completes Strategic Acquisition of IM Corporation, Japan – 23 February 2026

On 23 February 2026, Fidel Softech Ltd. announced the acquisition of majority stake in IM Corporation, Japan. IM Corporation is a well-established IT services firm with over 30 years of experience serving Tier-1 and Tier-2 Japanese system integrators and enterprise clients.

The conference was presided over by Fidel’s CEO, Mr. Sunil Kulkarni and IM Corporation Director, Renya Kikuchi.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Sunil Kulkarni, CEO of Fidel, remarked,

“The coming together of IM Corporation and Fidel is a significant milestone that strengthens our position in Japan. This partnership enables us to serve the Japanese market with AI offerings more effectively. It also supports Japanese companies in establishing Global Capability Centres (GCCs) in India. In his remarks, Mr. Renya Kikuchi, President & CEO of IM Corporation, said,

Born 12 October 1946 in Hyogo Prefecture. After graduating from Gakushuin University’s Faculty of Science, Department of Mathematics in 1969, he worked for 18 years as a manager at Nippon Univac Co. Ltd. (now Biprogy Co., Ltd.), developing systems for numerous major financial institutions. After working at Japan Cooper & Lybrand (now Pricewater house Coopers P.W.C.), he served as Senior Managing Director at system integrator IM Co. He led the development of numerous systems. From 1987 to 1992, he served as project manager in the United States, coordinating the Japanese side of the development of the core system for Japan’s largest telecommunications company.

In March 1993, he became Representative Director of IM Corporation, and has led IM Corporation for the past 33 years.

Additionally, in 1997, he became Representative Director of Learning System Co., Ltd. (now SCCIP JAPAN Co., Ltd.). As the first official domestic distributor for LEGO Education, which handles educational toys, he commenced operation of the ‘LEGO Classroom’ in 1997. He was involved in developing the educational programmes offered at this classroom. Subsequently, combining independently developed curricula with various teaching materials, he expanded the operation of SCCIP Membership Classrooms, which deliver STEM/STEAM education utilising robots and other tools. From 2011, the company entered overseas markets, with many children and students (over 50,000) in countries including India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, the Maldives, and the United States now learning through STEM/STEAM education programmes utilising robots and other tools.
